In Stitches

About a week into holiday, I'm traditionally rendered completely unable to recall a single aspect of my normal, incomprehensibly hectic life. In this happy fog of ignorant bliss, one highly favored ritual is to locate & purchase an amazing knit project requiring loads of time, skills, and expensive yarn.

This holiday's winner is Baudelaire, which will be knit from 18 skeins of Blackstone Tweed (wool + superkid mohair + angora) in Nor'easter -- a wonderfully deep & dark blue. Complete with ruffle trim & bustle. Will possibly be done by this time next year.

  1. That sounds like a super wonderful sweater. I started to knit a scarf for my husband six years ago and well, it has been left undone. Perhaps, I'll pull it out and finish.

  2. Hello,

I'm a senior in high school, applying to colleges, that sort of thing and ran across your blog via Purl Bee. I just wanted to say, and I mean this in the best, least creepy way possible, you are who I hope some day to be. I was just wondering how you got to where you are now, if that's not a silly question.

Anyway, lovely blog, /lovely/ sweater, etc.
    With love,
    C
