In the Pink

Ever since I posted on my love of the Caribbean, I've been considering the power of pink and its ability to conjure the serenity of warmer climes.  Think bougainvillea. And pink lemonade.  And Friendly's Black Raspberry ice cream.

Within mere moments of picking up my Gloria chair, freshly reupholstered at Modern Fabrics in a vibrant pink linen (photo to come), the latest edition of Vogue Living shot through the mail slot & onto my living room floor. Seems like others are thinking pink as well.

First, the cover shot of this amazing pair of raspberry tufted lovelies.

Then this hall table upholstered in a Bennison floral linen sitting atop a Madeline Weinrib hot pink cotton carpet.

And this bit of blush pink fabulosity from the New York apartment of Hamish Bowles.

And finally the rosy pink leather chairs in this sitting room.

Upholstery, lampshades, gilt frame double matting, whatever. Pink's got the power.

  2. Vogue Living is the best, I miss that magazine, they just have that extra edge. These are wonderful. Another perspective on pink!
