Design & Doughnuts in Charlotte

2 ultra-chic designistas, Lisa Sherry & Susan Simpson (who also happen to be fabulous friends of mine), have a very cool thing going on this weekend. If you run away screaming from sterile High Point showrooms and love that crazy mix of disruptive design + well-curated vintage, pull on those yoga pants & 3 dot tees and get yourself over to 307 West Tremont ASAP.

This morning, Porcupine Provisions is frying up doughnuts, with a shot of java on the side.
Honestly, sister. What are you waiting for?

  1. On Monday I will be posting a contretemps to your sterile High Point comment. Yes there is more garbage in High Point than gems, and with 10 million square feet of space, you have to dig, I mean walk miles. I've been shopping there for over 25 years and seen the good, the bad and the ugly. There are fabulous artisanal vendors in High Point, with exquisite hand touched product. There are hybrids with great design, material and scale, made in China, but in very small supervised runs. You are going to have to wait for it, but its not in Macy's or ABC carpet. Not to rant, sorry, but I am doing a series on this topic, because I am so fond of my precious heirloom tomatoes, even if they are sitting next to Captain Crunch! Whew!
    Best,
    Liz
