In honor of Seleta's Fabulous Friday, I'm sharing the latest addition to my ever-increasing textile stash...

Mom visited Charlotte a few weeks ago. While she was here we found a lovely shop in the country with this fabulous fabric from Portabellopixie.  I (feeling confident, ambitious even) enrolled in one of their classes to make a quilt for my bedroom called Crazy Curves.

{Please see earlier post re: sewing here}

Am I crazy?

  1. Can't wait to see what your quilt looks like finished...good luck! Love the fabrics you picked. Do you remember the name of the store? Was it in Gastonia?

  2. Call me crazy, I love it, it looks harder than it is, but I love it and I love your stash of fabrics! Please show us when you are done!
    Wish I was there sewing now!

  3. Oh I love all the fabrics. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I say yes to the quilt!

  4. Holly...are you talking Charlotte, NC or VA...I'm in NC and love these fabrics. I'm attending the Donna Downey Inspired art retreat and we need some fat quarters for a memory quilt project so if this "country" store was close by to Charlotte, NC...let me know. Have a great weekend. Fondly, Roberta

  5. Oh I love your fabric stash! I'm going to attempt my first baby-sized quilt this weekend. I'm nervous, but inspired by all your crafting! :)

  6. thanks to all for your encouragement!

    BH - The little shop is called The Quilting Nook, located in the historic part of downtown Waxhaw

    PVE - I'll be sure to blog as I go!

    HH - thanks!

    Roberta - Enjoy your retreat, and see just above for shop details... their selection is incredible

    Sara Christine - Good luck & can't wait to see it!

  7. Hmmm, I see PvE liked your fabric and so do I! Let me know when you finish, I'd love to see. :-)
